GO WILD FOR WILDLIGHTS AT THE LIVING DESERT ZOO!

The Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Garden in Indian Wells and Palm Desert once again welcomes the holiday season with its annual, spectacular WildLights extravaganza. This Southern California desert yuletide celebration features more than 750,000 twinkling lights and larger-than-life animated displays that transform the park into a winter wonderland after dark. Bring the entire family to experience “Holidays Around the World” with new light displays, international food and beverage offerings, camel and carousel rides, live entertainment, Wildlife Wonder Shows, and so much more.

Sponsored by The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation and presented by the City of Indian Wells, WildLights is held from 6-9 p.m. on November 21-24, November 30, December 1, December 7-8, December 14-15, December 20-23, and December 26-31. WildLights regular admission is $10 for adults, and $8 for Living Desert members, children and military personnel with ID.

    THRILLS AND CHILLS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY ON TAP THIS HALLOWEEN IN INDIAN WELLS, CALIFORNIA

    Bring the kids and grandkids for a Wild West-style Halloween experience later this month in Indian Wells!

    From mad scientists to Doom Buggy fright rides, Dracula’s Lair to a rodeo-style trick roper – it’s all part of the thrilling Howl-O-Ween festivities this month at the one-and-only Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Garden located in Indian Wells and Palm Desert.

    Sponsored by The H.N. and Frances C. Berger foundation, the ghoulish festivities are set to take place Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28 from 6-9 p.m. The whole family will enjoy 16 trick or treat stations, live music by Dunebilly, costumed characters, giant animated displays, refreshments, and so much more. Western wear costumes are encouraged but not required. Tickets are $8 for Living Desert member adults, $9.75 for non-member adults, and $6.50 for children.

      WHY INDIAN WELLS, CALIFORNIA? – THE LIVING DESERT ZOO & BOTANICAL GARDEN!

      Where can you meet more than 450 desert animals and plants and have lunch in an African village? The Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Garden located in both Indian Wells and Palm Desert. This magnificent 1,200 acre preserve is one of the most unique zoos in the United States with a multifaceted mission that includes preserving and protecting desert species. Special exhibits and programs include the G-Scale Model Train and Wildlife Wonders Show. Visitors may also tour the state-of-the-art Wildlife Hospital and Conservation Center to learn more about The Living Desert and see how the animals are cared for. The park hosts several popular special events throughout the year including the winter WildLights Festival, a Greater Palm Springs yuletide tradition.

        SAVING WILDLILFE ONE BEER AT A TIME!

        That’s the theme behind the The Living Desert Zoo’s Third Annual Brew at the Zoo, one of Greater Palm Springs’ most popular beer festivals. So if you’re a fan of blues, brews, barbecue and protecting our desert plants and animals, don’t miss this sensational bash scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012. The festivities take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at The Living Desert Zoo, a unique desert preserve located in both Palm Desert and Indian Wells, California.

        This year’s event will feature live music on three stages with the Barry Baughn Blues Band, Kimo and Band, and Motown-inspired Harold Wheery and the Blue Breeze Band. The Brew at the Zoo party also includes 40 vendors, beer and wine pairings with delicious appetizers and desserts, home brew demos, animal encounters, a Big Brew Raffle, and much more. For an upgraded experience, buy a VIP Lounge ticket, which offers private seating in the Chase Gallery & Reception Garden, premium wine and beer, deluxe appetizers, live jazz combo, unlimited access to general Brew at the Zoo food and beverage selections, private animal encounters, and a VIP take-home gift.
